Edin Karabeg is Managing Partner at DELTACON Executive Search and is responsible for the Financial Services Competence Center for the DACH and CEE regions from Vienna. He supports banks, insurance companies, payment service providers, and leasing companies in filling management positions and key specialist roles. These include executive board positions such as CEO, CRO, COO, and CFO, as well as senior positions in retail and corporate sales, risk, treasury, compliance, finance, operations, and in the digital areas of modern banks.
He began his career in risk and credit management. As a risk manager, head of risk controlling, and later as a member of the risk management board, he gained a deep understanding of credit, market, and operational risks, as well as the regulatory requirements that shape financial institutions today. In the years that followed, he held several CEO positions at banks in CEE and Western Europe, where he had overall responsibility for retail and corporate banking, finance, treasury, HR, IT, compliance, internal auditing, and the further development of digital sales and service channels.
This combination of risk experience, many years as a CEO, and a keen sense for digital transformation enables him to identify leaders who are professionally, strategically, and culturally suited to demanding mandates in the financial services environment.
